Saint-Gall, 1/6 Ducat au type du Pfennig non daté (seconde moitié du XVIIIème siècle). Ours debout à gauche. Lettre G gothique au-dessous / Inscription ZVM AN-GEDEN-KEN sur quatre lignes. 0,62g. HMZ - (cf. 2-912h pour le Pfennig); Iklé - (cf. 478 pour le Pfennig); Richter (Proben) -; Schweizer Medaillen 1289; Tobler-Zäch-Nussbaum - (cf. 189a pour le Pfennig).

Grading/Status: Extrêmement rare. Superbe exemplaire.

Notes
Ce rarissime sixième de Ducat a été frappé avec un coin d'avers du Pfennig uniface auquel a été ajouté un coin de revers. Il ne s'agit pas d'une frappe en or du Pfennig ("Goldabschlag" ou "off-metal strike"), mais d'une production originale. Cette émission est d'autant plus intéressante que la ville de Saint-Gall n'a en théorie pas émis de monnaie d'or pour la circulation au XVIIIème siècle.
