Iles Ioniennes. Administration britannique, 1809-1864. Médaille en bronze commémorant l'ouverture du canal de Leucade en 1819. Buste nu de Sir Patrick Ross à droite. Plan du canal de Leucade en toile de fond / Inscription sur huit lignes dans une couronne végétale. 81,4mm. 121,56g. - Collection Athanasios Ghertsos, Suisse.

Grading/Status: Rare. Très bel exemplaire. Rare. Almost extremely fine.

Notes
Une médaille rare et probablement le plus bel exemplaire connu. En 1819, les habitants de Leucade commandèrent cette médaille pour honorer Sir Patrick Ross qui avait joué un rôle important dans l'ouverture du canal de Leucade.
