Description

Safawids - Tahmasp II, AH 1135-1145 (1722-1732 CE). Presentation 20 Shahi AH 1135, Tabriz. Kalima surrounded by the names of the twelve Shi'ite Imams / Poetical couplet, mint and date below. 26,96g. Album - (cf. A2689 for the type but struck at Isfahan).

Grading/Status: A rare and impressive silver piece. Nice very fine.

Notes
This impressive presentation silver 20 Shahi struck at Tabriz is described as unique by Stephen Album in his "Checklist of Islamic coins", third edition, p. 282.
